![]() It was so useful, the only drawback was that the sync wasn't in real time with the great advantage of being able to save any folder you want without moving it into Dropbox. I know it's not a feature but a tricky method, but I read that Dropbox doesn't support simbolic link anymore. The "fun fact" is that the old symbolic links I created are working, but if I create a new one it shows a red X on it. I tried to create simbolic link with normal and admin user rights, I tried to sync a folder in another disk partition, it just doesn't work anymore. I just tried again to sync a folder with this tricky method and it's not working. To somehow save on the cost of showing a placeholder page?!? WHY?! YOU ARE LITERALLY RUINING TIME I COULD BE SPENDING WITH MY FAMILY.Until this summer I was able to sync folders outside Dropbox using simbolic links. There's seemingly no reason to get rid of it. ![]() And the absolute know-nothings in tech support are telling me I've made up the functionality and that it never existed. The fact that they killed this feature is an absolute disgrace. Why would they remove this feature? What goal does it accomplish? How does this make the product better?Ĭan't get a straight answer from ANYONE. Make the client wait for the file to upload, NOT ME, DROPBOX'S CUSTOMER. I can't go to bed, I can't move on to other projects, I have to sit and watch the upload now. ![]() Now I have to wait minutes/hours in order to send the e-mail. I'm often uploading large audio files and sending in an email to clients in countries that are still sleeping. This is an absolute productivity killer for me. ![]()
